Parking inside Gibraltar is limited and often expensive, especially in peak season. Most visitors park in La Línea and walk across the border.
Several underground and surface car parks operate near the border and along Avenida Príncipe de Asturias. Availability and prices vary with season, time of day and local events, so plan a backup option.
If you choose to drive across, public car parks exist inside Gibraltar (for example around Ocean Village and the Mid-Town area), but spaces are limited and streets are narrow. Driving is on the left, which surprises many visitors.
For short visits or families, leaving the car in La Línea is usually the lowest-stress option: no vehicle border queue, no parking search inside, and Casemates Square is a short walk away.
If you do drive across, build in extra time for the vehicle border queue, especially on weekends and holidays, and allow time to find a space inside.
Always confirm prices, opening hours and availability with the operator on the day — information online can become outdated quickly.
